    just because the doctor’s death in lake silencio is a fixed event in time doesn’t mean that events that happen prior can’t be. If someone where to go back in time and kill the doctor the lake silencio event would simply be rewritten.

    And it was ALWAYS the robot doctor dying. That is the fixed event.

    Him escaping his fate was justified well enough by just saying that if the universe believes him to be dead then he is dead.  He can’t die til the fall of the 11th, that is also a fixed event, giving the theory of the robot doctor always dying in lake silencio even more credit.
